Configuring Windows for Use with 2player
There are a couple of steps you need to take to enable DLNA on Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers, so that 2player can communicate with them.
Enabling Media Sharing on Windows 8
From the Start Screen or Desktop in Windows 8 press Win Key + I, and then click Change PC Settings. Click on HomeGroup. On the HomeGroup page, enable sharing of Music, Pictures, and Video, as you see fit; and then turn the Media Devices switch on.
Enabling Media Sharing on Windows 7
To allow 2Player to stream music from your personal music library, launch the Windows control panel from the start menu, and select Network and Internet, and then Homegroup. In the resulting dialog you must enable sharing of music, video and pictures (as you see fit) and check Allow all Devices on your Home network to Stream Pictures, Music, and Video. The feature can also be enabled using the Stream menu in Windows Media Player.
Enabling Remote Control of Windows Media Player
Windows Media Player can be remotely controlled by 2player. To enable remote control of Windows Media Player on Windows 7 and WIndows 8 computers, start Windows Media Player, and then select Allow Remote Control of my Player.... from the Stream menu. You can also enable media sharing from the Stream menu as well.
